webROI deltok på SEM-konferansen 2009 som gikk av stabelen på Oslo Kongressenter nylig. To dager i søkemotormarkedsføringens navn var spekket med spennende internasjonale foredragsholdere, og alt i alt svømte dagene over av inntrykk og impulser. Vi har samlet noen sitater fra de internasjonale trekkplastrene så dere som ikke var der kjapt kan få glede av noen tips.
John Myers, Media West:
- If your brand is not visible on Google it’s not a reputable brand
- 1.8 seconds to grab user attention on search engine
- Universal search has changed golden triangle eyetracking
Lisa Myers, Verve Search Ltd/ SEO-Chicks:
- Meta descriptions: Think as much about who you don’t want in to the page as those you do
- Link strategy: always quality over quantity, as it relates to your content and goals for your page
Rand Fishkin, SEOmoz:
- invest in an iPhone app – just to get started
- A small amount of high quality content is much better than large amount of low quality.
Adam Lasnic, Google:
- Google confirms: Meta keywords do nothing for SEO.
- Wc3 validation is important although Google doesnt use it directly: What is good for people is good for googlebots, and that’s what accessibility is about, still.
- Image SEO: Have alt-tags on all images, and work on the filenames.

- Be competitor oriented: if you’re not page 1 on search, chances are they are.
